Baton Rouge High was an impressive 167th out of nearly 25,000 public schools in the country, No. 4 in Louisiana, No. 1 in the metro area and No. 44 among in magnet schools. As a result, 9 schools will be closed Tuesday, May 14, for the safety of our students and staff. Here’s the list of schools: • Greenbrier Elementary School • Istrouma High School • Mayfair Laboratory School • McKinley High School • The Dufrocq School • The Virtual Academy Administrative Building • White Hills Elementary School • J.K. Haynes Elementary School • Claiborne Elementary School The district appreciates families and staff for their patience and support under these circumstances.
